General Information
Chaudhari of South gujarat are considered as tribes. People of this community primarily live in the region from vapi-navsari to bharuch-ankleshwar. Ancestral stories give information that at some point of time, huge forest areas in the region of Vapi-Ankleshwar were cleared to create land for cultivation as the population of chaudhari's increased but they do not tell where these ancestors actually came from. People who live in villages till date live harsh lives with limited access to education and medical facilites. They still rely on rain for their crops. On 2nd October, 2007, a new district Tapi was created by Contemporary Chief Minister Mr. Narendra Modi. This region includes city/villages like Vyara, Songadh, Valod, Ucchal, Nirzar. These incidentally also happen to be the places where many of the Chaudhari live.

This land of tribals is home to many worth-visiting places some gifted by nature and some created by Man. Ninai Ghat, Unai (garam pani nu kund), Kakrapar Dam, Ukai Dam, Jungle of Ukai, Jungle of Umarpada, Jungle of dedia pada, bheskatri, maya talav and Gira Dhodh are the natural attractions. The Ukai dam, Nuclear Reactor Kakrapar (where unfortunately only employee and their relatives are permitted to visit) are the Engineering showpieces. The Songadh fort is the historical heritage.
These days many Chaudhari have migrated in pursuit of education, jobs and business to many big cities in India as well as abroad. While earlier, these were a farming community, many people sought employment in government sectors after the independence of India. The younger generation now has further diversified to find employment in government as well as private sectors. Some are now competitive enough to prove themselves in this competitive world. Many however are yet to find their niche, skills and confidence to break the barriers and seek to move with the modern global India.

This website is created to reach a large section of educated/affluent class among the Chaudhari community who have migrated to far off places. The aim is to provide a platform for them to network, meet, interact and jointly assist the younger talented generation who are academically excellent but come from financial backgrounds which are not very sound. Please join to share your knowledge and abilities for the betterment of the community.
